France o6

From 11/8 to 20/8 ´o6 I, together with my darling - my wife, Lenka, due to transport of Hütter 17b to Belguim and due to visit of VGC Rally in Frnce Angoulene, we visited France - coast of Normandy, Bretany, Aquitane and Savoi.
During 10 days we made journey 6.480km far.
I'm working on some report.... There si the map here - each day has the other colour. the map

Thuersday 10.8.06

In origian I wonted to departure on Thuersday evening - witht oversleeping on Germany hightway and to arrive to Belgium on Friday afternoon. But I finished work on Hütter last afternoon and we didn't managed the first fly - it was postponed to Friday morning.



pátek 11.8.06

before the first fly of Hütter 17b car + trailer We woke up early - half past five. At half past six Hütter was prepared to first fly on Rana aerofield. We had only way - to use car-tow. Moreover we were only four people there - one was flying, the second was driving the car, the third was holding the wing and the fourth was shooting and photographing.
So we made the first take off by car-tow - it wasn't so much nice - no wind and due to care I went a bit slowly - Jiri as a check-pilot switched off and landed ahead. He was only 50m hight, nevertheles he praised good fly property. The next take off I went nimbly - hight 120 -150m - nice. The third take off was my - very nice. But - during fly there was a great tense on air brakes control - there weren't possible to open that - only a bit. And the speedmeter didn't work good with used ventury pipe.
Wartburg About 10am we had the glider in trailer and begun with journey - we to Belgium and Jiri Lenik with Zlin -24 Krajanek to Angouleme in France.
During journey I made photo of Wartburg castle, which is the symbol of some-named car from car compeny in Eisenach - one of the oldest car compeny on the world. In past it belongs to BMW and at the end to Opel - but it's other story.....
tyre I go on highway about 100km/hod to Dortmund and just something twitched with our car - I watch to beck mirror inmedietely - by the way I sow something as a vanished bellow bus which was going behind us. Nothing other, only on right mudguard was flattering veil. After a moment this veil felt down and the bus run it over too. After 3km I stoped on highway parking. On right tyre on trailer was off top rubber ply to cloth. I had tooken stendby tyre an was continued on journey.
On Belgium Danée we departured about midnight. We find it quite good - we had itiniery from Bruno de Woulters and some maps.
When we met mr. and mrs. Woulters we a bit tolked and wet to sleep - to attic in garden - house.

Saturday 12.8.06

the de Woulter's house we slept in attic in front of house On Saturday was drizzly. Bruno run us around his garden and showed us a few gliders which had on a few shelters on this garden. The next Brouno recomended us to visit some very interesting places on France. Becouse didn't finished raining we went to some great hall in some farm to compleate a Hütter. In this house Bruno had next gliders im trailers.
Obout 2pm we departured to nex journey - to France - to Amiens city to visit a cathedral.
Amiens Amiens At the first patrol station in France we bought a France map - the best way haw to buy the map - than to buy itonly in special shop in Czech rep. - in France they have France map on each petrol station.
The first our France tourist visiting was Amience city - the Amience is said to have the same large cathedral as a Reims. The Reims one I wonted to visit in original, but Ameins recomended us Bruno and this is on "our" road.
The next we was continuing to Dieppe port. Because didn't stop drizzling, we vonted oversleep in some B&B, but everyone which we visited (2) were full. At the end we stoped to sleeping on parking near some Ponny-Club, obout 30km in front of Chanel coast.

Sunday 13.8.06

Dieppe Dieppe Dieppe When we arrived to Dieppe, we visited a beach. The wind was blowing and the temperature was obout 18deg. and just was outflow the sea level was about 5m down - we wolked om sea bed and picked small shells. Lenka told, that there were sea aroma, but I told, that it was die sea creature stink.


Fécamp Fécamp There was made an elixir getting young in the small nice city Fécamp - it remaind us huge destilation equipments in front of abbey.
The wether got worse - begun rein.


Etretat Etretat Etretat
The next stop was Etretat, where are this rocky creation on sea coast.
At afternoon stoped rein, but was stong wing and a bit sun was shining - it was good opportunity to photographing.
Etretat Etretat Etretat There are nice walking up on cliff - we went to small church. There could bee possible to spend there vera long time, but we were hurry to continue...



Pont du Normandie Pont du Normandie ... across "Pont de Normandie", which with hight 180m and lenght 2,1km belongs to the ten biggest bridgen on the world. Acrossing coast 5€.

We continued to one of the main point uor journey - abbey Mont Sant Michel. We stopped on highway parking to shover.

Originally I wonted make a photo of casle Mt Sant Michel with sunset, but on this time we left highway - 15km far. But on night it was nice too and there weren't so much visitors there. We made small visit of this abbey and returned about 5km to parking to sleep together with other caravans. When we was leaving St Michel parking - on sea bed, at 11pm just was flood-tide - water was coming by speed of slow walking.
